Choose Mental Pictures or Drugs
By Brian Irons
The human brain is very powerful! God gave every human brain the ability to perform in such a way, that is, to search out its own vision.
All visions are seen as mental insights. The brain has the amplified ability to see visions and insights, even when the eyes are shut closed. Some visions are inspirational, while others aren’t worth your time and effort. Because of the brain’s magnified power, it has the ability to see a vision, and then expose it upon the earth.
Not only are visions inspirational insights, but they also are mental pictures. Once a mental picture has been seen, it becomes your duty, to keep the brain submissive to it. While the brain is observing this mental picture, it begins gathering other nearby head components to help bring to life this mental picture.
At one point in life, every person has once said, “My vision is to be a successful ___”. Although, every brain functions the exact same way, they all still see different mental pictures and visions. One-person’s mental picture is to become a pro athlete, while the other person is dreaming of becoming a doctor. Whether the mental picture is to become a licensed doctor, or a professional athlete, there are rules, regulations, and requirements that must be obeyed.
Brian Irons chose the dream of becoming a professional athlete. While dreaming of become a pro athlete, he got distracted. By choice, he entered into a living associated with drugs, which was not of his dream’s requirement. Once he began associating his body with drugs, he automatically broke all rules, regulation, and requirements. If his dream was to become a pro athlete, it is required that he stay healthy.
Well, it’s like this; in the days of my youth, I began smoking marijuana. As days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, and months into years, my teenage years were long gone, but my usage with drugs carried on. I used and abused drugs for more than a decade. To myself I swore not to use any other drug but marijuana. Marijuana felt good; it gave him a quick fix, and never did I think marijuana would bring harm to my life.
But the addiction from marijuana caused me to be a partaker in one drug after another. Never in a million years did I believe I’d ever use Cocaine/Crack, Heroin, Codeine/Morphine, Syrup, Hard Liquor, Beer, PCP, Valiums, or any other chemical that works against my living and vision. After using all those drugs, it is impossible to have a normal functioning brain. Although, I've never associated myself with LSD, Ecstasy, Crystal Meth, or Steroids, my brain has still experienced a world of chemicals. Actually, most of the problems my life faced were because of being associated with drugs.
The longer you allow drugs or alcohol to operate in your brain, the greater the damage you’ll experience. When you allow drugs or alcohol to operate in your brain, you are causing drugs and alcohol to touch your mental picture. If you really want to know how drugs and alcohol affects lives, just look back at your own personal experiences. That's the best answer right there. Just sit back and think about the number of times you've escaped a beat down or even death. Once those personal experiences are seen, you have just seen a mental picture of episodes that was not worth life’s effort or time.
See your righteous mental picture right now. Whatever mental picture you see, please obey its rules and instructions. Choose God right now, and allow Him to show you His vision for your life. Make a righteous decision today, because your mental picture is counting on it. 1, 2, 3, 4, many experiences come in that same numerical order.
